All of a sudden my whole body spazed out the other day. I'm trying to figure out why. All of the muscles in my body got tight. I even took 5mg of baclofen an hr ago and I'm getting tighter and tighter as I'm writing this. I know 5mg is really low, so I think I will take some more... Here are the factors:
How do you tell where increased spasticity stems from? Nightengale? Kara? Anyone else? I hate being turned into a worrier. Now I'm anxious that I might be anxious... This is causing a problem in my life in that now I have this intense need to be horizontal. Laying down on my stomach feels so good; I really get a good all over body stretch that way. Remember the episode of Sienfeld where Kramer wanted to live in his shower? If I could live in bed I'd be a happy camper, but I can't. It's causing a problem that when I crawl into bed I fall alseep, affecting my ability to fall alseep at night and then affecting my ability to get up in the morning.

If I were to email my PMR she'd tell me its cold outside! Maybe I'm trying to invent things in my head? I'm bipolar too, and starting in feb I began to have semi-severe anxiety issues related to school. But I haven't really been anxious since friday when I got back an assignment I was dreading and got a 23/25. But being this spastic makes me wonder... I'm a part time wheeler. Finding a balance between walking or rolling around her is hard. There are so many hills around campus. But if I roll too much it does cause me to get tighter. Am I just sitting too much? Stress will definately make you spasm. There are certain people I have to avoid because just the sound of their voice will make my legs do their pretzel impersonation. I used to let people vent on me figuring I was performing a kind of service...but my legs won't tolerate me being a toxic emotion dumping ground anymore.
I need to get on my belly more often....I know it's supposed to be one of the best things you can do....but it's hard to get there without legs crossing. I am looking forward to getting a MOTOmed exercycle since research has shown in decreases spasticity. Have you tried yoga?
